Call for Presentation Outlines
There is a choice of different presentation formats. We invite innovative presentations that encourage active interaction amongst conference participants. Display areas as well as projectors will be made available in all rooms.
Seminar (30 minutes)
In a seminar session the presenter introduces the audience to the major issue/s during 10-15 minutes, preferably through a combination of different media. The introduction is followed by discussions based on the audience's comments and/or the presenter's call for comments on specific aspects.
Roundtable/Poster (30 minutes)
A roundtable or poster session is carried out in a smaller room with possibilities for displays and informal small group discussions. The presenter use 10-15 minutes to introduce the work done or work in progress before informal discussions start.
Symposium (60 minutes)
A symposium is based on a presentation of different perspectives on a broad and common theme. Different presenters introduce the perspectives during a total of 20-30 minutes, preferably through a combination of different media. A discussion is initiated were both presenters and the audience are invited to give their comments.
Workshop/Drama (60 minutes)
A workshop or drama session has a practical and possibly multimedia framing. The session is introduced by setting 'a scenario' (classroom, clinic, office, public place) through the use of e.g. Power Point, video, slides, posters, or soundtracks to illustrate the complexities of a situation and its related practical and scholastic potentials or problems. The scenario is developed in 15-20 minutes, followed by a brief problem posing comment (5-10 minutes) by the presenter/s to stimulate a discussion.
