General information

Umeå University/Conference venue
The conference will be held at the campus of Umeå University. The opening ceremony and Keynote lectures and plenary sessions will be in Aula Nordica (E) and the other sessions in the Humanities/Arts building (A). The welcome reception will be in theacher's education building (Z).

All lecture halls will be equipped with PC projectors.

Registration fees
Full delegate fee is SEK 1000,- and the fee for students is SEK 500,-. The fees include:
Admission to the sessions, lunches, refreshment during breaks, Welcome party and Conference dinner.

Travel/accommodation
SAS and Fly Nordic fly from Arlanda Airport and Malmö Aviation flies from Bromma Airport, near Stockholm city centre. There are many departures each day and the prices can be cheap by early bookings.
Umeå Airport is situated 3 km from centre and after each arrival there are buses leaving to the town centre and they also stop near University campus.
You can also reach Umeå by bus or by train from Stockholm .There are many departures every day. It takes approximately 10 hour by bus or by train.
All hotels used by the conference are situated in town centre.

Registration
We need to have your registration before July 31, 2008. Umeå Congress will send a confirmation letter to all registered delegates one month before the conference starts.

Currency
The currency in Sweden is the Swedish Krona SEK. Exchange rate changes from time to time but in December 2007 SEK 100 is 10,86 Euro.
Credit cards are commonly accepted in hotels, restaurants and shops.

Language
The official conference language is English.

Letter of Invitation
The Secretariat will be pleased to provide letters of invitation to any individual making such a request. A letter of invitation often facilitates the procedure to obtain a visa for Sweden. Please note that the letter is not a commitment on the part of the conference to provide financial support.
We advise participants who need a visa for entry into Sweden to apply for one well in advance.
